Son was born in Busan, South Korea, but grew up in Oklahoma. She was an accomplished golfer as a girl. She became the youngest champion of the Oklahoma State Women’s Amateur, winning it back to back in the years 2014 and 2015. Inbee Park is her biggest role model.
