Personal
Kim, 5’9”, started playing golf at the age of 11. She credits her family as the individuals most influenced her career. She qualified for the LPGA Tour by finishing fourth on the 2003 Futures Tour season-ending money list. Kim was the silver medalist at the 1998 Asian Games. She was the 1998-99 Korea Junior Championship winner and from 1998-2000 was a member of the Korean National Team. She won a total of 19 tournaments in Korea as an amateur. Outside of golf, Kim enjoys reading books.

Won her first career event at the U.S. Women’s Open, holing a wedge shot from the greenside bunker on the final hole to become the 14th player in LPGA history to make the U.S. Women’s Open her first career win
Carded a career-low 65 in the opening round of the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic Presented by Kroger, where she tied for 29th.
